Overview
The Genomics and Proteomics Core Laboratories are able to provide DNA extraction services from a wide array of tissue types including whole blood, tissue, cultured cells, buccal cells and saliva. Additional services available are DNA quantification via spectrophotometer or Pico Green (Invitrogen), whole genome amplification and cell line banking. Please contact GPCL to discuss sample preparation and submission for these processes.

The GPCL Specimen Processing Core Facility is located at 3343 Forbes Ave, 3rd Floor.
The purpose of the facility is to extract and purify high quality DNA and RNA, and to provide related quality control and sample banking services.

All extractions and genomic DNA handling is performed in a laboratory free of amplicon contamination. The laboratory is equipped with all necessary equipment to support quality DNA extractions.
